Dot 3aa Specification

Cylinders must be manufactured using equipment and processes adequate to ensure that each cylinder produced complies with the requirements of this subpart. Cracks or other defects that could appreciably weaken the finished cylinder shall not be permitted. A reasonably smooth and uniform surface finish is required. If such defects are not initially present, the surface may be machined or otherwise treated to eliminate them. The thickness of the bottom of a welded or spin-formed cylinder shall in no case be less than twice the minimum wall thickness of the cylinder shell; such bottom thickness must be measured within the area bounded by the line representing the point of contact between the cylinder and the floor when the cylinder is in the vertical position.

These cylinders are used to fill with permanent gases, liquefied petroleum gas or compressed natural gas to serve a wide application in chemical industry, metallurgical industry, mechanical industry, petroleum industries, electronic industry, building industry and in the fields of fire fighting, energy, food process, household, medical treatment, cryogenic soldering, mountaineering, diving, mining, scientific research & etc.

All the manufacturing technology and properties's tests are entirely under the supervision of the thirty-party supervision institute approved by General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of China.
