IS 7285 Industrial Cylinder specifies the minimum required materials, design, construction and workmanship, manufacturing processes and testing for refillable quenched and tempered seamless steel cylinders with a water capacity of 0.5 litre to 400 litres for compressed, liquefied and dissolved gases exposed to extreme ambient temperatures (normally between -20 and +65 degrees Celsius).

Seamless gas cylinders contain compressed or liquefied gases at pressures exceeding 1MPa for storage and transportation. Safety requirements exist for the use, production, inspection, handling and management of gases under the provisions of the High Pressure Gas Safety Law.
This type of gas cylinder uses refillable seamless steel tubes and is designed to transport compressed and liquefied gases exposed to extreme ambient temperatures around the world. These tubes can be used individually or in packs to equip trailers or multi-element gas containers (ISO modules or skids).

Quenching and tempering are key processes used to strengthen and harden steel and other iron-based alloys. Quenching involves heating the material and then rapidly cooling it to lock in the desired properties. This process is carefully controlled, with specific attention to heating temperature, cooling method, cooling substance, and cooling rate, based on the material type and desired hardness.

Oxygen, Carbon Dioxide, Hydrogen, Nitrogen, Argon, Helium, Air etc… Gas cylinders available on board, other combinations of cylinders, water capacity and service pressures are available on request. We also sell second hand gas cylinders (hydrostatically tested).
